Delhi Metropolitan Education, places research and development at the heart of its academic philosophy. Recognizing that meaningful education extends beyond classroom learning, DME actively promotes a culture of inquiry, innovation, and intellectual engagement.
Established in 2017, the DME Research Cell serves as the institutional nucleus for research activities. It is committed to creating a stimulating and supportive environment where both faculty and students are encouraged to think critically, explore new ideas, and engage in scholarly pursuits. The Cell firmly believes that knowledge cannot evolve in isolation; therefore, it promotes multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and intersectional research that bridges diverse domains of study.
The vision of the Research Cell is centered on strengthening the academic community and fostering a sustained research dialogue. It aims to inculcate essential research skills and critical thinking abilities among faculty members and students alike. By facilitating collaborative projects, encouraging publications, and supporting academic initiatives, the Cell ensures that research becomes an integral part of institutional growth.
A distinctive feature of the DME Research Cell is its active student involvement. The student body plays a pivotal role in mobilizing peers toward academic research and cultivating a scholarly mindset across campuses. Students actively organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and panel discussions, thereby contributing to the holistic and continuous development of academia.
Through consistent efforts in knowledge creation and dissemination, the DME Research Cell continues to strengthen the research ecosystem at DME, fostering innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence.
2nd Student Conclave on “Sustainable Choices , Empowered Voices, Rethinking Consumption Through the Lens of Gen Z” on 7th & 8th Nov 2025 ( Hybrid Mode)
The Research Cell of Delhi Metropolitan Education organized the 2nd Student Conclave on 7th and 8th November 2025 on the theme “Sustainable Choices, Empowered Voices: Rethinking Consumption Through the Lens of Gen Z.” The two-day academic event served as a dynamic platform for youth-led dialogue on sustainability, ethical digital behaviour, and policy-oriented research. Bringing together scholars, industry experts, legal practitioners, and over fifty student researchers from across India, the Conclave reinforced DME’s commitment to fostering evidence-based inquiry and future-ready leadership.
The first day, held on campus at Nelson Mandela Hall, commenced with a formal inauguration, Saraswati Vandana, and an institutional presentation. The presence of distinguished academicians including Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Gupta, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Prof. (Dr.) Sapna Bansal, Director, Institutional Outreach and Inclusivity, Shri Ram College of Commerce, added immense academic value. The welcome address emphasized sustainable consumption, media influence, and policy-aligned research, while keynote speeches explored the evolving Gen Z economy, ethical leadership, and mindful academic engagement.
Two parallel technical sessions featured rigorous interdisciplinary research on digital consumption, environmental governance, youth behaviour, media influence, and sustainable lifestyles. The discussions reflected strong methodological depth and policy relevance.
The second day was conducted online, with Prof. (Dr.) Queeny Pradhan, Dean, USLLS, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, as Chief Guest. The final technical session examined legal consciousness, influencer culture, consumer protection, and sustainable living within digitally mediated spaces.
The Conclave concluded with the declaration of results and a valedictory ceremony, reaffirming DME’s mission to nurture responsible thinkers and transformative youth leaders capable of shaping sustainable and equitable societies.
