Every year Teacher’s day is celebrated as a special gift to appreciate teachers for their contribution in the field of education. September 5 is celebrated as Teacher’s Day, the birth date of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Delhi Metropolitan Education celebrated Teachers day on September 5, 2016 in Nelson Mandela Auditorium. (DME) Mr. Aman Sahni (Vice Chairman DME), Hon’ble Justice Bhanwar Singh (Director General DME), Prof. Dr. Vikram Dutt (Principal Academics DME) and Dr. Rakesh Sharma (Advisor DME) Graced the occasion by their presence. Honb’le Justice Bhanwar Singh shared words of wisdom and encouraged faculty of DME for their involvement in the Noble profession of teaching. He also shared the tasks done by world’s top 10 Noble workers and renowned teachers from different countries like India, Indonesia, Afghanistan, United States and New York. Justice Sir elaborated the work undertaken by them so that he can encourage the teachers to work hard and do justice with this great profession. All the teachers were presented with a memento with DME Logo. Ms. Tanisha, a student of BJMC was also presented a memento who had won a competition organized by Max Retail.
