The honourable keynote speaker of the session was the eminent communication and soft skills expert Mr Ananth V Chakravarthy .
Mr Chakravarthy has been associated as a soft skills and training expert with top MNCs such as Wipro, IBM, Eureka, Forbes, Lenovo to name a few.
His exceptionally efficacious communication skills and analytical skills made the session much energetic
Mr Chakravarthy initiated the session with the truest meaning of communication as to understand and be understood.
He further elaborated the core term debate and it’s requisites such as it being a formal discussion, proper verbal and non-verbal techniques acquired to accomplish effective debating.
He defined the four classifications of debate which were very conducive such as team debate, cross examine debate, spontaneous argumentation and political debate.

In all the session proved to be a revelation for DMEians!!
SEE THEIR SIDE OF AN ARGUMENT… BEFORE EXPECTING THEM TO SEE YOURS
ALWAYS FIND A REASON TO LAUGH, IT MAY NOT ADD YEARS TO YOUR LIFE BUT WILL SURELY ADD LIFE TO YOUR YEARS
– M. DRAKE
Laughter is the best medicine, and surely will be forever. Not just a wide statement remarked without any sensible investigation but it is proved that laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. With this view in mind and create a positive environment for the students, The Cultural And Debate Society, ABHIVYAKTI of our College Delhi Metropolitan Education, conducted a live stand-up comedy and story telling competition, under the guidance of our FACULTY and SOCIETY CONVENOR, Dr. Swati Jain and Mohit Sir, with the hard work of our STUDENT CONVENER, Udit kumar and CO- CONVENOR, Raj Singh and all the other members of team ABHIVYAKTI.
With this growing world, stand up comedy in India has already reached to a new fag-end and created newfangled humour for the audience. For many of the student audience members, it was the first time they’ve seen comedy in person. The program started, with an interesting story by our student convener, Udit kumar and was followed by a number of stand-ups that really made people feel butterflies in the stomach. The program went ahead where new participants came and showed their unbelievable talent standing on the stage, performing great jokes and making people laugh. Add the very end our student co-convener, Raj Singh remarked his presence over the stage and performed one of the greatest stand ups of the day. The most interesting part for the program was that, in this world where comedy and jokes have been limited to vagueness and vulgarity, our performers did decent jokes with the next level humour. Even the audience, cheered the performers with all the energy that really made the show one of the greatest in the history of DME.
At the end, our SOCIETY CONVENER, Dr Swati Jain came on the stage and thanked everyone for their presence and congratulated the performers for making the evening so great. At last the certificates for the participation was distributed among the performers and a group photograph was clicked to save that beautiful moment forever.
