BLOOD DONATION CAMP BY ROTARY CLUB
REPORT ON BLOOD DONATION CAMP BY ROTARY CLUB NEW DELHI
A Blood Donation Camp was organized by Rotary Club on October 1st, 2014-on the occasion of WORLD BLOOD DONATION DAY- at the premises of Delhi Metropolitan Education (for all the branches). The resource person organizing the Camp was ShriPradeep Kumar Goyalji. There were two Senior Doctors and 13 Assistant Doctors present at the Camp. It was started at 10 am wherein all the students and faculty members participated and donated the blood for the great and noble cause for saving many lives.
Hon’ble Justice BhanwarSinghji was present to welcome ShriP.K.Goyalji. He was also introduced to Prof.C.S.Kanwar, Director of Delhi Metropolitan Education. In total, there were many students from the Departments of School of Law and Legal Studies, Journalism and Mass Communications and Management Studies. Following steps were adhered at the Camp:
a) First of all, the students underwent the regular check up to see whether they were eligible to donate the blood or not.
b) The Weight and height of the students were recorded on papers.
c) The Haemoglobin Content was measured by the Doctors from the collection of blood samples given by the students.
d) Once all the above mentioned criteria were fulfilled, the students were allowed to donate the blood.
e) After the donation of the blood, refreshments were provided to the students.
f) Each and every student was presented with a photo frame with the words engraved “I AM THE PROUD TO DONATE THE BLOOD”.
At the end of the day, Certificates were distributed to the students for their zeal and enthusiasm for donating the blood.
