DME Frames

There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.”

DME Frames is a society built up of students belonging to different departments, which intends to make its members learn and be well-versed in the fields of photography, social media management and data handling. It aspires to promote the practical aspect of photography by executing activities such as photowalks, competitions and workshops.

Weekly meetings are conducted in which discussions related to individual assignments along with practice sessions for personal photography skill development are implemented.

Envision’17, an Intra-college photography competition, had been conducted this semester wherein students from all departments were given a platform to showcase their best clicks to an online audience. Winners were given a cash prize, top 20 shortlisted students and 6 clicks for special appreciation were provided with certificates.

Monthly photowalks and excursions are organized for the members to put into practice the skills learnt within the lab and enable them further to work in different environments so that their extent of knowledge expands beyond their present know-how. Previous trips have included Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Zoo and Qutub Minar.

“The picture that you took with your camera is the imagination you want to create with reality.”

Photography is not just a means to see this beautiful word through camera. But photography can be used to narrate stories by using the creative aspect of a person, as each photo has its own story. Many photographers use different techniques of editing to bring out the beauty of nature, people, places, animals and art and culture. However, in this Envision 2018 each click of the photographer will reveal his or her unique story through his or her talent of photography. Through this particular theme not only the photographers will get an opportunity to enhance their photography talent but they will also experience to express their creative stories through photography.

Every year  DME FRAMES the photography society of DELHI METROPOLITIAN EDUCATION organizes a photo walk to National Zoological Park under the guidance of MR. HARJEET SINGH KUKREJA (convener of DME FRAMES Society) to give a hint about what wildlife photography is all about and to provide students a slot to gain field experience.

The photowalk gave students an opportunity to practice their skills with the help of the guidance of faculty. The basics of this is to have patience within one and to be attentive as when the subject does the movement the photographer must get conscious but not make the animal/subject conscious about it.

Sometimes  even when there is grey weather, photowalk is conducted which yet again becomes a memorable event, and gives students another slot to buff their skills.
