DME Media School in association with Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia successfully organized 4-dayCINEASTE International Film Festival of India – CIFFI2019 from April 17th to 20th with an objective to promote crosscultural films and bring together artistically inclined minds. The festival was organized in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science &Technology, Government of India, Delhi International Film Festival(DIFF), WE CARE film festival, University Film Club AMU, Indian Academy of Shorts & AquariusProductions.

Graced with the presence of eminent personalities from theindustry and academia like Mr. Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mr.Khalid Mohamed, Mr. Muzammil Hayat Bhavani, Ms.Roseann M. Mandziuk, Ms. C.B. Anzi Zalis, Ms. Saara Lamberg, Dr. Vikrant Kishore, Dr. Simon Wilmot, Mr.Ram Kishore Parcha, Mr. Satish Kapoor, Mr. Nimish Kapoor, Mr. Ashok Purang, Mr. Naresh Sharma, Mr.Aditya Seth, Ms. Savita Oberoi, Dr. Gauri Chakraborty and many more, thefestival witnessed enormous participation. CIFFI received more than 140 films under different categories from filmmakers across the globe.

The four day gala event was full of plethora of activities and galore, right from workshops, master classes, panel discussions, curate sessions to book releases, entertainment programs, photography exhibition, cinema exhibition and selfie contests.

The overall footfall was of more than two thousand visitors, filmmakers, local cinema buffs, filmmakers and guests from outstation, students from different schools, colleges and media institutions.The event was covered by quite a few news channels like Aaj Tak, The Indian Express, etc.

CIFFI2019 became a grand event with all the relentless efforts of the faculty members and the students of DME Media School, backbone being the Dean of DME Media School, Prof. Ambrish Saxena, supported by HoD DME Media School, Dr. Susmita Bala, who made it sure to leave no stone unturned to make CIFFI2019 a breath taking experience.

Amongst the festive thrills and extravaganza, the students of DME Media School got a great opportunity for learning and to show their hands-on on the course components like PR, Event management, Media production and Management, Corporate communication, Content production, Film production, Reporting and Anchoring, Content writing, Print Journalism, Advertising, Photography, and on all that that they could get their hands on.

A great moment and exposure indeed for everyone who was a part of CIFFI2019, especially for the students, as they discovered their talent and potential, saw so many excellent films, got to meet and interact with so many talents and highly experienced and qualified professionals, knowledge sharing and gaining. All under one roof!
