The Business Plan Competition conducted by TECNIA Institute of Advanced Studies was open to both under-graduate and graduate-students from various Institutes/Colleges/Universities. We used the Business Idea Assignment that we had been working on Eco Friendly and Social Causes under Business environment Subject taught by Dr. Poorva Ranjan, BBA Department and post detailed discussions with her converted it into a Business Plan as well as a prototype of the same. Our theme was to manufacture Eco-friendly Bags hence we named our bags “ECOL”. Main aims of the plan were creating employment opportunities that will be provided to the less or no education group women. The types of raw materials that we will use will result for our bags to be moisture resistant, durable and affordable. These concepts served as the distinct factors for our plan to be successful in the competition. Our mentor, Ms. Parul Grover, BBA Faculty, encouraged us to participate in this competition.
Our faculties constantly helped us from preparing the Business Concept to the Final Presentation. Around 27 teams participated in this competition, being split into 2 rounds, out of which only 6 teams were qualified into the 2nd round. We were glad and excited that we were able to make it to the 2nd round. The competition amongst all the teams was really good. The competition went well and we bagged the 2nd prize. Our faculty and friends supported us throughout the competition and were really happy for our achievement. We will use the prize amount as seed fund for our business plan and will be implementing it in real world.
“The right is to work only, but never with its fruits; let not the fruits of action be thy motive, nor let the attachment be to inaction.”
This shloka in Bhagwad Gita always motivates me how to do enhance or upgrade myself a human being this means Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction. But behind every Successful student there is some heavenly blessed forces to which of mine is my Parents and Teachers. I had never thought that I might achieve a great height in future like getting 15 awards in a year it could not be possible without the constant support of my parents and teachers. Being a student of DME Law School, I always believed in practical learning to the different situations. Its all about of your amalgamations of experiences with different personalities. I have been to over many Model united series and Youth parliaments and MUN’s at DME helped me to face the world without hesitation.
Throughout the four years of college teachers always taught me practical life experiences with theoretical explanations to which implement in life. Both 2017 and 2018 are the years of achievements having more than 12 awards in each year. Even though Moderated as well as adjudicated various youth parliaments and other debate competitions.
Recently in January 2019, it was a matter of great honor to be felicitated by Dr. Shri Jitendra Singh Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy, and Department of Space.
In the end I would to extend my special thanks to the mentors and resources in DME who always motivates me to think step further from others.
